Programs: Early childhood services: la vida felicidad's early intervention program provides integrated developmental support services to families of children, birth to three years old, who have a developmental delay or who are at risk for a developmental delay due to biological, medical, or environmental risk factors. Services provided include developmental and therapy services, assessment and evaluation, and service coordination. La vida felicidad provides early intervention in valencia county. Early invervention is funded by medicaid, the department of health, united way, foundation grant funding, and private donations. La vida also provides a child care program which provides integrated development child care services to families of children, ages infant to five years. This program provides opportunity for a child to play and learn in a small group setting. The curriculum incorporates developmentally appropriate activities that expand upon early learning experiences and respects the child's strenths and needs as an individual. Eligible families receive assistance from the children youth & families department. The program also serves private pay families. adult services: our adult services include: community integration programs for adults with developmental disabilities (valencia county), home based programs for adults with developmental disabilities (valencia county, bernalillo county, cibola county, socorro county, san juan county, mckinley county); respite services for families caring for an adult with developmental disabilities (valencia county, bernalillo county, cibola county, socorro county, san juan county, mckinley county); homecare and personal care (valencia county, bernalillo county, cibola county, socorro county) and adult day care services (socorro county) for adults at risk for abuse, neglect, or exploitation; and private pay personal assistance services for all adults (valencia county, bernalillo county, cibola county, socorro county). Services provided through our developmental disabilities waiver program are funded by medicaid; homecare, personal care, and adult day services are funded through the aging and long term services department; one homecare program is funded by the city of albuquerque/area agency on aging, and respite services are funded by either medicaid or department of health state general funds.
