Mission: To assist vulnerable children, particularly those who are abused or at risk of abuse, are in foster care, or are homeless. The kukui children's foundation will use its resources to provide a safe, nurturing and comfortable environment to support the work of a network of programs which provide services to promote the health and well being of these children, their families and caregivers. When available and appropriate, our resources will also serve other needy citizens in our community.
Programs: The creation of the kukui center, which houses eight non-profit agencies, provides a continuum of services for abused, neglected, homeless, impoverished, and disabled children and their families. The center streamlines the process to offer user-friendly services, all available at one location. The center also launched the community partners program to create partnerships to support the center's programs. In 2017, approximately 9,350 children were served.
