Causes: International
Mission: Kota's vision is to support societies all over the world by promoting gender equality and empowerment of women and girls. We do this by creating a physical space in new york city to incubate small to medium-size global and local civil society organizations, and women's enterprises, which work on these issues. We aim to reduce our members' overhead spending, thus channelling more resources into their actual programs and missions; and bring like-minded organizations together for networking, fostering a physical proximity where an ideological one already exists. We conduct workshops and seminars on the issues of gender equality and women's empowerment; organize networking events and fundraisers; advocate for the issues our member organizations work on via social media; and channel financial and human resources (interns, volunteers, and mentors) to them to strengthen and grow them.
