Causes: Mental Health, Sexual Assault Services
Mission: The mission of kitsap sexual assault center is to alleviate as much as possible the trauma resulting from sexual abuse and other violent crimes by providing counseling, support, advocacy, education and by helping to bring about social change.
Programs: Kitsap sexual assault center provides therapy, advocacy, and intervention services to victims/survivors of sexual assault and other violent crimes. The organization also maintains a 24-hour support crisis line. Education, awareness, outreach and prevention workshops are provided to the community including law enforcement, schools, service organizations, and individuals. Each year a community meeting is held to indentify gaps in services with additional services being added. Services are provided from 4 main offices, including the administration office and the special assault unit building in port orchard, bremerton and bainbridge island. Services are also provided at the juvenile detention center, olalla treatment center, mission creek women's correctional center and the children's advocacy center.
