I heard of Kimmie online from a friend. I was looking for a companion dog for my autistic daughter. She was having an event so we went to look. At first sight, Bailey was so nervous and scared. He clearly hated the big noisy store. As soon as we sat down, he calmed and cuddled. He and my daughter made an instant connection... his anxiety and hers were the same. We asked for a home visit, and 2 years later, he’s still with us. Kimmie was a great help. She made sure that the dog had been vetted, was up to date on vaccinations. She took him for a full dental. She spent time talking to us about my daughters needs as well as the dogs needs. They are really a match made in heaven. He calms her fears. She calms his.
I became aware of Kimie's Kritters through my daughter who had adopted a sweet little male dog. A couple years later one of my senior fur babies passed away. I wanted to adopt a friend and companion for my remaining senior boy. Kimie had just the right dog for us, Bella. She is loving, friendly, and gets along nicely with the senior dog. Kimie did a home check to make sure Bella would be safe and loved. She also ensured that Bella had all her shots and was spayed. Thank you Kimie for all your hard work and bringing together wonderful dogs and families for many years of love.
We have adopted 2 pups from Kimie. I've had dogs my 3ntire life, mostly purebreds but these 2 from kimie are 2 of the best. Always impressed with how kimie cares for the dogs she is finding new homes for. You can tell she truly cares about every dog
We ran to the pet store one April afternoon for hamster bedding and encountered Kimie and her Kritters. By the end of the day we had adopted our Baxter. A little over a year later, we acquired Potter from Kimie as well. I have followed Kimie over the years and the care and love she provides her rescues is evident. She has an incredible network of foster angels. Her vetting process is impeccable. Know that adopting from Kimie’s Kritters, you will definitely get a well loved and cared for companion!
When we lost Lucy, our little Chihuahua that we had had for nearly 18 years my husband and I were so depressed, as we always knew we would be when that time came. What we didn’t realize was how sad our other dog Spencer would be.
I came across Kimie’s Kritters while searching rescue organizations for another small dog and decided to apply for a little Chihuahua that they had. Turns out she already had an adoption pending, but Kimie directed us to another dog that she thought would be a good fit.
We couldn’t be happier with our new little “Peanut” She is the sweetest little girl, and Spencer just loves her to death!
A win win for all of us !
I have experienced nothing but positive experiences from Kimie's Kritters Pet Rescue. Many animals facing euthanization because of injuries are given a chance at life no matter what the cost. They are then placed into forever homes and followed throughout thier lives. She always savesthe medical and behavoiral animals that are truley in need.
When my beloved Pom Teddy passed I needed a companion for his grieving mate Mitzi. We found our soulmate, Kahlua, through Kimie. Kimie has devoted her life to rescuing, housing, and carefully, placing her charges with loving, responsible families. Thank you Kimie for finding me Kahlua and for uniting/g animals and humans in need.
My experience with KK’s is through my friend’s adoption of Hughie. She had such good things to say about her experience. I follow the group on Facebook,
I’ve been following Kimie’s on social media, waiting for the right time to add a bring a new furry family member into our home. It’s a bit too soon for us as we just recently lost our 16 year old dog, but when we’re ready I trust we’ll find a wonderful fit with Kimie’s based on wonderful reviews and great social media posts and feedback.
We were lucky enough to adopt not one, but TWO rescues from Kimie. Luke and Violet have been with us for three years now and we are SO grateful for Kimie! She’s a true gem who spends all of her time finding the perfect fit for her rescues. We are so grateful to her for everything she does! These fur babies have made our family complete :)
I adopted my sweet Tucker from Kimie earlier this year. It was a great experience. I am so grateful for all Kimie does to help animals in need!
I heard of Kimie's Kritters Rescue through my daughter back in 2016 . I reached out to her about her rescues and she had a "Special Needs" dog that was 1 day away from being euthanized...he was injured...scared and not doing well in the shelter. Of course..we jumped at the opportunity to Foster "Teddy Bear" as Kimie had named him. She brought him to us...he had a neck wound...was aggressive from being scared and would not let us be near him for about a week. Oddly, he became very close to our cat...who taught him how to be a pet. I believe he was mistreated and chained to a tree his first year of life...totally untrusting of humans and other dogs. It took a few hours of him being at our house for me to tell Kimie.....we have failed as Foster Parents! Because....we are keeping him. We have loved our "Buddy" from day one...he is the sweetest boy! He gets along well with our other dogs and cats. 5 years later...he is living his best life as he should!
Kimie’s Kritters is an amazing rescue that always supports the underdog. Often approached by shelters attempting to place “undesirable” dogs, Kimie does not hesitate to accept dogs with behavior problems, medical needs or super seniors that no one else wants. She and her dedicated foster network work hard to rehabilitate these animals and place them into loving homes. Many wonderful dogs lead happy lives due to her efforts.
Got the best dog ever from Kimie's Kritters. He was at the pound in Modesto and ready to be put down because of over crowding and was picked up by Kimie's Critters. I popped into PetSmart one day and saw him and a week later took him home.. We had some growing pains, but he really is the best dog ever. Great with my special needs son, doesn't bark, well behaved. Couldn't ask for a better dog..

I first met Kimie's Kritters at Pet Smart. We went to go check out the kittens, as my son likes to do when we are in the area and Kimie's Kritters just happened to be there that day with her cute Kritters. I saw a scared little dog sitting in the pen by his self and I felt sorry for him.. I stopped to pet him and then followed my son to see the kittens. When we came back by the isle after looking at the kittens, my husband had the scared little dog in his lap, I knew we were going to go home with this dog!! We had learned "Prince" came from the Modesto pound and was going to be put down on the day he was rescued by Kimie's Kritters. My husband and I slept on it for a couple of days and decided we wanted to take Prince home. It was a bit of a rough transition for Prince, but in the end he is the best dog!! he loves to be around my special needs son, loves to go on walks, car rides, wherever we are is where he wants to be. We could not have chosen a better dog, or Prince could not have not picked a better family.
Kimie’s Kritters has to be one of the most dedicated animal rescue organizations I have ever encountered. We adopted “Bean” from Kimie back in 2016. He is probably one of the sweetest dogs we have ever had and has just become a Therapy Dog after passing all of his exams. On a moments notice, Kimie rescued Bean, his litter mates, and their mother from a domestic abuse situation. We are so thankful she did. She found homes for all of them. No rescue is too big for Kimie. She is awesome. I highly recommend Kimie’s Kritters to anyone looking to give a furry friend a forever home.
Kimie's Kritters took in this Precious Girl that was found in a ditch in the middle of nowhere in the rain. When I saw the post that she may be pregnant I offered to Foster. Kimie made sure we did a Vet check and she was Pregnant with Six Puppies!! She delivered 9 Days later!!
Kimie did so much to Help make sure that not only the Mom was well taken care of but that the Puppies got all they needed as well. Couldn't have done it without Her. All the Puppies were adopted and she met everyone at The Vet so they could be spayed/neutered. Her support is amazing!!
Needles to say we kept Momma after all we had been through with her. Miss Lilly is so Very Precious!! Thank You Kimie
i have Known Kimie the founder of Kimmies Kritters fir a few years. I can't say enough great things about her and her Rescue. Kimie always rescues the digs that need it the most. it diesn't matter what thier medical problems are they will be taken care of. Kimie has been rescuing dogs from Tijajuana and providing much needed medical to them. This is truley a great Rescue for the animals that need it the most.
Kimie's Kritters Pet Rescue is among the best. Kimie has helped save so many dogs and has helped individuals and rescue people on situations that dogs needed rescue.
And Kimie still has extended her help to save many dogs that are down south too!. Anyone that will do that is someone you can trust and count on .. so please do think about adopting a pet that's in this rescue and care, Kimie's Kritters Pet Rescue
I got my baby girl Reba (the pricess of all dogs) from Kimmies.
I was impressed with the fact that she makes sure the house the pet is going to is visited to make sure they are going to a good home.
The pet comes to you healthy and with all it shots not to mention the chip.
If you are looking for a new pet definitely check in with her.
Pictured is my baby girl when i first got her (in the cage) and a more recent one
Kimie is a truly animal lover, she goes above & beyond when it comes to help hopeless dogs. She’s an angel.
Kimie's Kritters Pet Rescue is amazing. I have fostered for her and she worked so hard to help Rocky Dogg find his fur ever home and never gave up (he was a puppy that was found in a trash dumpster and was dog reactive due to his trauma). Over the years I have witnessed her love of animals and how her organization goes 1050% to help our voiceless community find loving homes.
I love Kimie, she truly, honestly loves the animals she obtains I have fostered a couple times for her and she cares about finding the right fit for the dogs as well as the humans! Kimes Krittersis great!
We just lost our dog Rocky through brain cancer when we heard about Kimie’s kritters rescue. loosing our dog was very hard on both my boyfriend and I. There wasn’t a day that went by that we didn’t miss him. We still miss him a lot. We adopted our fur baby through Kimie’s kritters pet rescue. Leeloo makes our home stronger, with the love she gives us. We love her so much. We are very greatful to Kimie’s kritters rescue for choosing us to be one of the lucky dog parents. Kimie’s kritters had done amazing things to dogs in need. Thank you Kimie.
I was looking for a companion for my aging chihuahua after his mother died. Kimie's Kritters provided me with a sweet, but frightened little lady.
Congratulations!
My Jenna, renamed from Thelma, has been a good but still frightened little lady. She refuses to use the pee-pads, but will lie on them. She must have been badly treated before you got her, because she still cowers when I approach her, but she is better with other family members and visitors. She is slowly becoming braver. Now, she tries to tell me when she needs to go outside. Because she is afraid to bark, she has a difficult time getting my attention, but she is managing it better. I am relieved to know she can bark, because she barked at some strange dogs near the house, but only once.
Thanks again for rescuing her for me.

Thanks Kay and I am glad she is improving. She came from a domestic violence situation and that is why I named her and the other Chihuahua Thelma and Louise. If you need any assistance with training, please let me know.
This "group" is not a "no_kill" organization......they were personally responsible for illegally killing a very meek and mild senior pitbull named "BEAU" .....he was approx 15 years old and wouldn't hurt a fly! They removed him from his home which was a kennel in Petaluma, CA by pretending they wanted to foster him, instead the following morning, less then 24 hours later he was secretly and illegally euthanized without telling the owners, or anyone else! This was all on the "down low". I knew Beau personally, and this was very heartbreaking for everyone that cared about or loved this dog! And these "rescuer's" had absolutely no right to do this! They didn't even have the common decency to return his remains to the family!.....unfortunately nothing we say or do can bring Beau back! But in his memory, I would like the world to know what happened that sad and tragic day.....! RIP Beau.....you are missed!

Paul Sarasota does not exist. He/she is affiliated with a rescue that neglected animals and many rescues, including Kimie's Kritters, cleaned up their mess. This person is using this identity to defame the other rescues who saved the dogs' lives. We saved the last 5 dogs in addition to Beau who belonged to the kennel owner. He was left outside in 19 degree weather with no body fat and would also get sprayed by the hose, which caused him to become hypothermic. The owner admitted that Beau was suffering from kidney failure for over a year without seeing a vet because they did not drive. They made the decision to surrender him to Kimie's Kritters Pet Rescue and he was immediately seen by our Veterinarian. We (the vet and rescue) did everything we could to save his life but he was too sick. He was not only suffering from kidney failure, but he also had cancer and was suffering immensely. We spent over $1,500 on diagnostics and treatment for him, but we got to him too late.
