Causes: Arts & Culture, Opera
Mission: To give performance of operas and operettas of all types and to perform all acts and functions necessary or desirable in connection with the training and development of competent young performers in the field of opera.
Programs: Kentucky opera produced three operas. There were a total of six public performances with a total attendance of 6,066. There are related expenditures for the box office. Three newsletters were provided electronically to the public to promote awareness of the operas and the company.
education programs include: touring productions for elementary, middle and high schools; final dress rehearsals open to students. Over 15,000 students were reached by these programs.
kentucky opera sponsors various activities in order to promote opera awareness and increase support. These activities include opera previews, outreach/community engagement performances by kentucky opera's studio artists,and lunch & listen.
