The Karabakh Foundation does a great job promoting cultural diplomacy. It plays a valuable role in educating and informing Americans about Azerbaijani history, culture and traditions.
Karabakh foundation is doing a great job to foster cultural dialog between the Azerbaijan and USA, Very dedicated people with important mission, worth supporting in any way.
The Karabakh Foundation is dedicated to educating Americans on the often overlooked Caucasus region, including the country of Azerbaijan and its Karabakh region.
Nice to partner with groups like D.C. Embassy Events that smooth the way for cultural diplomacy.
A few years ago, I was asked if I could create a coin collection of Azerbaijan for the KFR. I felt honored in being asked. This would be quite a challenge, since Azerbaijan is a relatively new country with limited exposure in the United States. The coins and currencies (along with stamps) were found. They currently are shown on the KF website. My wife and I were invited to Baku, where I lectured at a local university. I pointed out that the Azeri people have a long and rich history that must be shared with the world. The American Numismatic Association warmly welcomed Azerbaijan into the community of international numismatics. By sharing their heritage with the world, the Azeris are making many friends.
Joel, your commitment and passion as an artifact donor and as a Cultural Ambassador for KF's activities are simply remarkable. You have been on the journey with us since the beginning, even literally traveling to Azerbaijan to see for yourself. What you have done to have Azerbaijan's coin heritage recognized in the United States is truly visionary. You are a tremendous source of inspiration for us, and we are glad to count you as a friend.
Even though it has been a few years since Karabakh Foundation has been established, it has done very tremendous job in promoting Azerbaijan's culture, history, cuisine and music. For instance, participation in recent cultural festival held at the National Mall of DC brought very interesting attention from local media and ordinary citizens. KF is also remembered for another interesting art event where it displayed Azerbaijani rugs and carpets from Karabakh region of Azerbaijan.
Anar, it has been great to work with you so many times trying to document and share Azerbaijani culture. You have been so generous is allowing the KF to extend our capacity to do this. As an Azerbaijani-American you also are giving your children the gift of their legacy-a gift they too will share no doubt.
The Karabkh Foundation has successfully introduced Azerbaijan, the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, and the Caucasus area to the US population. Moreover, the Foundation has been very successful in helping the population in the US understand the cultural heritage and traditions of Azerbaijan, particularly its Karabakh region. In order to raise awareness of the Karabakh region, the foundation provides sponsorship to artists and scientists to visit the country; organizes or participates in exhibitions where the foundation showcases the cultural heritage of the region; and disseminates publications relating to the culture, history, religion, or traditions of the region. This makes the foundation and its experts on Caucasus and the Karabakh region the go-to organization for these topics in the United States. As an intern and a volunteer I have learned a lot of new information form the organization. Thus, I would recommend the foundation to everyone.
Emre, it was very interesting for us to have you on board, in terms of your perspectives as an international relations specialist, a carpet expert, and someone originally from Turkey. Thank you for sharing as you have, and helping us to bring Americans face to face with magnificent Azerbaijani carpets.
The Karabagh Foundation is the labor of love of a few committed self-starters. The Foundation does an incredible job of raising public awareness about Azerbaijan, a small state in the South Caucasus that represents a unique blend of Islamic tradition and modernity. The Foundation creates art exhibits, music performances, lectures and other forms of informational exchanges in order to pursue what is called "cultural diplomacy", a new type of diplomacy responding to the needs of the globalized world in the state of discord.
The Karabagh produced incredible booklets, a website and other resources using minimum of funds and a lot of ingenuity and creativity. It has very dynamic small staff with great zest for innovation and entrepreneurship.
Scholars of course are a vital constituency for the KF. Scholars like you with a deep, rich grasp of region-related topics--you help bridge the great divide that currently keeps most Americans from understanding Azerbaijan beyond the superficial. Thank you for your many contributions.
I have the honor of knowing and collaborating with Kharabakh Foundation for the past 2 years.
Their mission of creating a bridge between the Azeri culture and the American culture has been successfully carried for the past few years, defining a new perspective on how americans and the rest of the world perceive this incredibly rich culture.
As a collaborator I had the opportunity of witnessing their flawless efficiency and their constant will to accommodate my needs, and I can testify on how this behavior should work as a role model for most of the other non-profit organizations.
I hope this review can somehow help KF get recognized by their incredible work and get more and more people engaged in their mission.
Renato, It has been a privilege and an honor working with you and Zulfugar to share your wonderful music. What KF tries to do is make the artist's job a little easier. Thanks for being part of the team.
Karabakh Foundation is non profit organization with honest and professional people. The organization has a great mission -- promoting the Azerbaijani culture in the United States of America. This activity contributes to the friendship, mutual understanding and exchanging cultural experience between people of Azerbaijan and the United States of America.
As an Azerbaijani scholar, I am very happy to work with highly qualified staff of the Karabakh Foundation.
I had a great chance to be interviewed as an expert on Azerbaijan first "oil boom" and its social-cultural impacts in the Southern Caucasus.
I appreciate very much Mrs. Diana Altman for spreading out my interview to the wider audience.
I am looking forward for cooperation and common projects with the Karabakh Foundation.
Parvin, it has been a pleasure working with you to share our mutual passion for giving Azerbaijani people the recognition they deserve. We are grateful for your work and for your support.
Karabakh Foundation is incredibly open to the U.S. audience and is wide as well as versatile in its promotion of Azerbaijani culture, history, values and traditions. Azerbaijan is a country that still has a lot of things to share with the world and KF is simply inimitable in organizing numerous events all across the America. They truly portray the real image of the country and do their best to tell you more and more about Azerbaijan's rich heritage. So If you ever want to volunteer and organize an event dedicated to Azerbaijan, KF will definitely be there to help you! I know it from my own experience.
Ali, you are the perfect example of why the KF is needed. The bright new face of the young generation in Azerbaijan who will be working alongside our American sons and daughters. And you have been a simply wonderful volunteer, always ready to do research for us in Baku. Thank you for participating in KF's mission!
