Mission: The mission of Judson Center, a non-profit, human services agency located in southeastern Michigan, is to help children, adults and families improve their lives.
Results: Judson Center provided life improving services to 4,022 children and families in 2012 through these four centers of excellence: Autism • 370 children on the autism spectrum developed new social and life skills Behavioral / Mental Health • 435 individuals received mental health counseling Child Welfare • 98 children were matched with a forever family through our adoption program • 1,730 difficult to place youth participated in the Michigan Adoption Resource Exchange - an information and referral service for families interested in adopting from foster care. • 128 foster children were safety tucked into bed for 22,768 days of care • 48 youth received intensive psychiatric services though our residential program and learned valuable skills to help them regulate their emotions and keep them safe during crisis • 846 families at risk of having their children removed remained together or were reunited after a brief separation Disability Services • 52 adults with disabilities were able to live as independently as possible • 128 adults with disabilities were given the chance to work in the community • 187 families received 4,056 days of loving respite care for a family member with a disability
