This radio-programming library dates back to 1965. Jewish life also hosted two events: the international jewish film festival and a dinner presentation focusing on holocaust oriented films produced in hollywood. This event was coordinated and co-sponsored with the holocaust memorial in israel, yad vashem. For the 13th year in a row, jewish life organized and funded a youth tennis program giving free weekly tennis lessons to children in the inner city tennis la. This program, earmarked for needy children, is based on tennis training programs and classes created and offered in the state of israel by the israel children and tennis centers. Another one of the creative and community oriented programs established by jewish life is the history of jewish los angeles which has codified, in an archival form on the internet, the story of the jewish pioneers who founded the jewish community in the area beginning in 1850 to the present. In addition to the over 200 video interviews, the lessons learned from the history of the community have been taught in jewish and secular/public schools throughout the area.
