Mission: The York Jewish Community Center creates opportunities for everyone, inspires relationships, builds a community of well-being, and enhances Jewish communal life.

Results:
In 2022, the York JCC celebrates its 112th anniversary of serving approximately 10,600 individuals each year in York County; of these members, 10% are Jewish.
The York Jewish Community Center offers the following programs and services:
- Early Childhood Education – the Early Childhood Education Program seeks to provide an educational environment that fosters each child’s self-image, curiosity to learn about the world, and confidence in his or her developing physical, intellectual, and social skills. The Early Childhood Education program offers the community several options for childhood growth:
- School for the Early Years: for children ages 2 through 5, provides care from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. during normal school year months.
- Lunch and Learn: offers afternoon programming from 11:30 AM – 2:00 PM for children ages 3-6.
- Early Years Discovery Camp: this summer camp is for children ages 3 to 6 years old, June through August.
- Child Care Program: for children ages 18 months to 5 years. This program offers a full-day, full-year care and education program with a full-day schedule during the summer. Scholarships are available.
- School-Age Child Care: this program begins at 6:00 AM for before school care and 3:00 PM for afterschool care. Programming ends at 6:00 PM.
- Wellness and Fitness – the York JCC offers fitness for all ages, body shapes and sizes at the organization’s state-of-the-art fitness center. Participants can utilize training and cardio equipment; access group fitness classes; work with a personal trainer, and speak with a nutritionist.
- Aquatics – recognizing the importance of teaching children and adults how to swim, the York JCC provides a multitude of programs through the aquatics program. The pool is used daily from opening to closing time, seven days a week. The services offered in the pool include: individual and group swim lessons, lifeguard and water safety classes; water-based fitness classes; open pool time for laps and free swim.
- Culture & Arts – The Culture & Arts Department seeks to demonstrate, illuminate, and celebrate the breadth and depth of the human experience by exploring the power of culture, identity, creativity, and resiliency through educational, social, artistic, and cultural experiences.
- Family Services – The Family Services Department runs the JCC food pantry, Project Manna; the J-Ride transportation program for seniors; and provides human services referrals, crisis counseling, and process assistance for York area families in need.
Target demographics: ensuring children and families in York County have equal access to educational and wellness opportunities.
Direct beneficiaries per year: Nearly 250 JCC members received $40,000+ in membership financial assistance, helping families and individuals reach their wellness goals. 87% of Momentum participants increased their mobility in the first year. OVER $270K in financial aid was awarded to children participating in educational programming.Has distributed more than 2400 lbs of groceries to food insecure families in the York community.

Programs: Membership and program activities: provides members of the community access to the use of the fitness center, all group exercise programs, swimming pool, and discounts on all programs offered by the center including fitness classes, swim lessons, personal training, and various cultural events. In addition non-members can participate in all areas at non-member rates. The facility may also be rented for various functions.
Child care, school age care and summer camp: provides child care for working parents of children ages eighteen months to five years. School age care provides care before and after school for children ages 5 to 13. Summer camp provides care for school age children during the months school is not in session.
