Mission: The mission of the Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix is to ensure and enrich Jewish identity and to enhance the quality of Jewish life locally, in Israel and around the world. We will accomplish our mission through: • An integrated and centralized planning process that identifies unmet and underfunded needs. • Management of an annual financial resource development process. • Cooperation with, and co-sponsorship of, programs and events presented by Jewish agencies and organizations.

Programs: In 2014 the association continued to experience an increase in donors and volunteers leading to broadened engagement in our local jewish community. The association continued to serve the local and international jewish community. The campaign for jewish needs is the annual fundraising campaign of the jewish community association. The campaign raised more than $3 million which was distributed to organizations and programs that help engage those in need and/or enhance jewish life in greater phoenix. (see schedule o for program service accomplishments continuation)during 2014 the association approved allocations totaling $1. 5 million to organizations which benefited more than 30 jewish programs, locally, nationally, in israel and overseas. In addition, during 2014 the association coordinated an emergency campaign raising $165,000 to help israeli citizens who were victims of unprovoked rocket attacks. More than 1500 community members attended the association's large-scale events - the annual meeting and the annual mega event. Both featured themes with a connecting thread, the power of you and the power of community. Women's philanthropy drew more than 300 participants to educational, outreach, and fundraising events, including the lion of judah and pomegranate division events, as well as the fall and hanukkah programs. In addition, the inaugural women's philanthropy league engaged 24 women in a year-long+ program of hands-on volunteerism in social service agencies, while learning about our community and the association. Impact, the young women's philanthropy group, was formed and began to program activities for women in their 20's/3o's/early 40's. In 2014 the association assumed ownership of the jess schwartz community day school campus property and buildings. Recognizing the need to provide a strong foundation for jewish k-8 learning it teamed up with the pardes jewish day school extending below market rent to help pardes achieve its goals.
