Mission: Jcc of mid westchester is a nonprofit community center dedicated to enriching the jewish community by providing services, programs, and facilities for people of all ages. The jcc serves to enhance the education, mental and physical health, family life, cultural environment, and general welfare of its members; to preserve the heritage, values, traditions, cultures, ethics and philosophy of judaism, and to promote interfaith understanding and cooperation by working to further the best interests of the entire community. The services, programs, and facilities, are available to all, regardless of race, color, religion, or sex. Participation in the jcc is open to all, regardless of financial circumstances, and scholarship aid is available through individual departments.
Programs: Sports and fitness includes a full aquatics program, children's gymnastics, fitness center, pilates and cycling studios. Popular classes are cycling, zumba, yoga and arthritis fitness. Children's programs feature gymnastics, sports, karate and swim. Programs support the health of over 2000 patrons and community members. Open to all regardless of race or religion.
summer camps for over 300 children ages 2 - 17. Camp gadol is a traditional jewish day camp with sports, arts, music, nature, swimming and special events. Campers with special needs are integrated with trained staff. Summer arts center (sac) is an arts-based camp with custom schedules for grades 2 - 8 and dance intensive is for advanced dance students. Open to all regardless of race or religion.
arts include vibrant visual and performing arts programs for over 400 children and adults. The dance program has three new studios and teaches ballet/pointe, tap, jazz, hip-hop, folk dance and more. Art classes feature clay, painting and sculpture. Musical theater offers performance classes for children. All programs encourage participants to express themselves artistically. Bendheim theatre houses lectures and performances for the community.
enrichment programs are for participants with adhd, speech/language delays, learning disabilities, asperger's syndrome, asd or any social or emotional problems. Sunday/funday is an all inclusive 3 hour social-skills based program on sunday mornings for ages 3 - 18. Other enrichment programs include tai chi, dance therapy, and teen and adult social/recreational support groups. Open to all regardless of race or religion.
