Causes: Centers to Support the Independence of Specific Populations, Human Services
Mission: Island connections seeks to provide free transportation and other services to the elderly and people with disabilities on mount desert island and the surrounding islands that will enable them to live independently and with a strong quality of life.
Programs: Island connections provides services to the elderly and disabled. During 2014, 120 volunteers assisted over 325 elderly and disabled neighbors by providing transportation and delivering meals. Island connections delivered approximately 250 meals weekly in 2014.
