Iea serves riders who are 18 and under by offering financial and grant programs for equine athletics.
Programs: Interscholastic equestrian association aims to develop understanding and appreciation of equestrian sports through organized student competitions and additional equine educational opportunities. During fiscal year 16-17, our organization hosted 836 shows across the country and made it possible for over 13,500 riders to compete in equestrian competitions-many of whom would not be able to access equine sport without the affordable format that our organization provides.
the iea introduced a new horsemanship program in fy 16-17 expanding membership to younger (4th and 5th grade) demographic, and also offered opportunities for participation through educational learning and testing for non-riding enthusiasts. There were also test programs offered in dressage offerings as iea is considering the viability of adding an additional competitive discipline in the next 2-3 years. The iea continues to be a significant, introductory (feeder) program to higher level equestrian participation, and a major contributor to the growth and sustainability of equine sports.
