Mission: The purposes of the international institute for race medicine (hereinafter"iirm or the "corporation") shall be the promotion of the common good andthe health, safety and welfare of endurance athletes and the generalpublic, through research, communication, education and the development ofmedical best practices that can be utilized during athletic events, and theencouragement of the general public to improve their physical condition bythe promotion and regulation of sports competition, both professional andamateur, with particular emphasis on the sponsorship of endurance events,and of track and field teams and meets, and similar athletic exercise, sothat the iirm will qualify under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue codeof 1954, as now in effect or as hereafter amended, (the "code"). To do all andeverything necessary, suitable and proper for the accomplishment of thepurposes or attainment of any of the objects heretofore set out ormentioned.
