Mission: International House promotes international understanding by serving as a center for diversity, advocating for people of diverse national backgrounds and facilitating professional and cultural exchange programs.
Results: In 2012, International House: -Served 1,058 low-income clients through the Ginter Legal Clinic. -Provided education programs to 575 adults and 145 children from 49 countries. -Brought 29 groups of international visitors to Charlotte, including 234 business leaders from 81 countries. -Facilitated weekly conversation hours in eight different languages with 200 individuals. -Moved to its new home at the Midwood Int’l & Cultural Center, raising $188,930 in private donations.
