Causes: Chambers of Commerce & Business Leagues
Mission: The purpose of international council for machinery lubrication inc (icml) is to facilitate the growth and development of machinery lubrication, condition monitoring, reliability and asset management as a technical field of endeavor.
Programs: In 2017, icml continued to increase its presence in conferences and trade shows overseas, advocating for lubrication practioners directly with management and at times c-level executive personnel. Icml added an additional 68 sessions from the year before. Icml also continued participation at iso technical committee 108/sc 5 and will be participating in the technical committe 251 in 2018. Icml has continued to advance standards pertinant to lubrication and analysis practitioners. Icml has continued to serve as convenor, project managers and work closely with group volunteers and proctors. Icml also added several new sponsorships during 2017. Icml also presented the gill award and the battle award to two companies recognizing them for their inovation in the areas of oil analysis and machinery lubrication. These icml awards have become a synonym of world-class oil analysis and machinery lubrication programs, honoring prime examples in the industry that have received recognition for their pioneering efforts. This expands further the reach of industry mentors available via icml and it's benchmarking of the lubrication and analysis industry on world class programs. Icml continues to implement the recertification process with candidates. In 2017 icml staff, volunteers and subject matter experts came together and have started the process of adding a new vision within the industry and once completed, icml will also be a certifying body for auditors in the field of lubrication and oil analysis.
