Mission: Primary objectives and purposes are to foster the development and implementation of clinical applications of cytometry in the diagnosis and management of human pathologic conditions; to stimulate and promote research in new applications of cytometry and allied disciplines; to promote professional advancement in all aspects of clinical cytometry and to foster education and the exchange of information among persons engaged in clinical cytometry by means of an annual national meeting and of a variety of educational activities; to issue publications in the field of clinical cytometry and its applications; to interact with agencies, both private and governmental, which regulate, oversee, monitor and control the practice of clinical cytometry, in the interest and for the benefit of clinical cytometry, and the patients it serves.
Programs: Sponsored the 32nd annual clinical cytometry meeting and educational course in phoenix, az from 6-10 october. Meeting brought together numerous national and international experts in the field of clinical cytometry. There were more than 400 professionals in attendance from over 20 countries. The annual meeting is designed to help participants increase their knowledge of current tools and technologies available for patient sample analysis, better understand the accepted methodologies and benchmarks for patient sample analysis and diagnosis, and to increase their competence in using analytical software applications.

coordinated and managed efforts related to a three year project funded by a restricted contribution of $700,000. The bi-society project is a multi-faceted collaboration endeavoring to create educational resources for the international clinical cytometry community, to host practical clinical cytometry courses in both developed and developing countries, to create an international network of clinical cytometry organizations and to facilitate training of young professionals via the visitor training program. The project specifically involves developing on-line advanced educational resources, a hands-on lab course (wet lab), an international visitor training program, and an on-line network resource to facilitate the global use of clinical cytometry to provide information for patient care
