Causes: Human Service Organizations, Human Services
Mission: To use community resources to provide basic human services and enrichment programs to low-income people, while fostering self-sufficiency and respecting the dignity of each client.
Programs: General assistance:provides assistance with utilities, rent, or mortgage. Ifcs also has one rapid-rehousing program, designed to move families from homelessness to permanent, affordable housing. Provides assistance with clothing, bus tickets, gas gift cards, medical prescriptions and birth certificates. Operates the largest food bank in the south metro denver area.
enrichment programs:ready, set, school! Provides children from low-income families in grades k-8 with necessary school supplies, including a backpack, new clothing, and gift certificates for shoes for the beginning of the school year. Additionally, through our enrichment holiday programs, eligible families and seniors are provided with the makings of thanksgiving and christmas meals.
