Mission: The institute for school excellence, inc. Is organized for educational purposes. They assist schools in the evaluation, research, and development of the conditions and factors that define the most effective practices in education. The institute for school excellence, inc. Works with schools and organizations that support schools (charter, public, or private) in building capacity within the school's leadership and school staff to understand and implement those behaviors and practices that define schools of excellence.
Programs: In 2011, ise serviced eight (8) indiana charter schools which included 2092 students and 186 staff. The institute's consulting focus lies in three key areas -- charter management, special education and school recovery. Across all areas, ise leadership build foundations from which to develop capacity in operations, leadership, service and culture. The institute contracts with 28 service providers that include professionals in school psychology, speech and language therapy, occupational and physical therapy, vision and hearing impairment, autism, transition services, case conference management, crisis prevention intervention and behavior mental health. Workshops included response to intervention, therapeutic and crisis intervention, psychological assessment, special education policies and file management, and behavioral mental health.
