Institute for Conscious Global Change is a nonprofit way ahead of its time. Mapping clearly demonstrates what a region, city, state, nation, or world can look like without the many aspects of poverty. Bravo to ICGC!
The work of ICGC provides leadership in creating awareness on how to achieve the SDGs voted by all the world. In using the geo spatial and geo mapping and design, this allows for a virtual and democratic tool for development. This enables for each country to achieve the réalisation of the SDGs.
The Institute for Conscious Global Change is like no other organization. It's foundation alone is unique in nature. The service it provides to the United Nations and countries has never been done previously. That is why the UN accepted, certified and translated the work to all six languages. That is not achieved by many independent organizations. As a result of ICGCs innovative contributions to answering the "how" for the UN Sustainable Development Goals, there is actual vision for achievement.

GIS is that missing piece for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, and ICGC has the precise concept, tool, and prototype to accomplish such a task. There is no other tool and process that can concisely wrap every aspect of the SDGs and proctor the solution such as the Millennium Earth Project, which is the tool that is used for building the prototype of every unique community in countries that have signed on to being a part of the SDGs. Having the privilege to work with the Founder and CEO, Etta Jackson and seeing her passion and life mission of alleviating poverty, I see the vision and I strongly believe that this is the answer to achieving the Sustainable Development Agenda even before the allotted 15 years are up.
I love the concept of using GIS to alleviate poverty, build communities and the involvement of all the stakeholders in the process. This is the answer to self sufficiency and sustainable programs for the community by the community. Etta Jackson and your amazing team, you guys are geniuses and have my utmost respect and admiration.
Love the instagram page! mixes graphs/statistics, current events, and UN goals. I think my favorite post, the one that one my follow, was the Syrians handling a vigil for the Paris attacks. There were so many posts that were all the same, so the variety caught my eye in the hashtag. Thank you and keep up the good work! I also love He for She and Aiesec!
ICGC's mission is paramount to overcoming the myriad of obstacles the world's least developed nations face. By utilizing GIS and real-time statistics, ICGC is able to create a visual model of an urban center's infrastructure and where support is need to reach SDGs.
Founder, Etta Jackson, was beyond generous with her time addressing my inquiries. I fully support the mission of this exceptional organization as it aims to improve the world.

We cannot continue to live in comfort on our planet, while our brothers and sisters are in poverty, unsafe and without education. We have a strong obligation to uplift those in need. The time has come to be proactive. The Millennium Earth Project designs and develops, a mental understandable image, by creating a visual framework for sustainable development. With this visual framework there will be presented to the minds of the people on our planet, the creation of a world which people in underdeveloped countries, enjoy a similar quality of live to everyone else in the world. The way to get to change with this, is by developing a clear and virtual plan, to visually show how the United Nations Eight Millennium Development Goals (MDG) come together with what is named MDG9 Infrastructure; developing virtual but tangible solutions to the 49 Least Developed Countries. By virtually presenting what these countries can look like, concrete tools will be delivered to serve these countries to get to a developed status. I am convinced that this project will indeed generate a powerful change! Here for I'd like to nominate the Institute for Conscious Global Change as my Greatest Nonprofit Organisation.
ICGC is an organization that has limited budget but a large scope and range of partners very passionate about delivering sustainable solutions for the developing world. I was fortunate to work with Etta and the team and wish them the very best.
The sincere passion fueling this nonprofit is hard to find elsewhere. It is easy and logical to believe in the mission of this organization, and it is even easier to want to get involved once you meet the people behind it.
ICGC is doing phenomenal work with paramount importance. I love that it keeps the most important people in mind, a country's citizens and asks for their participation while developing plans. The gaol is to make friendly sustainable development plans that not only have long term benefits for the communities in underdeveloped countries, but assures equality for all. This dedicated organization is taking on a perspective like none other. I am honored to be part of this effort that will help make the MDG goals a reality.
Institute for Conscious Global change is a non-profit organization that is embarking on life-changing technology to impact the world at large. As a Board member seeing and being a part of a team who are passionate about changing the world is something that you rarely or genuinely see.
This Non-Profit is amazing, not only are you a part of something big but the youth and young professionals are able to partake in pioneering and furthering sustainable development efforts at large.
I love working for an organization where the voice of the youth count and they are included in the decision making process. ICGC recognizes that with the right tools and education the youth have the power to make monumental positive changes. A major goal of the organization is to empower youth, encouraging them to view themselves as assets within their countries and as global agents of change. I feel inspired everyday by this goal and the work I do at ICGC.

ICGC’s team of dedicated and forward thinking individuals recognize progression and growth comes from education and access to resources. With the Millennium Earth Project, ICGC aims to establish a fundamental resource to help others reach solutions and further development within their environments. A significant component of the project includes making the resource available to all actors at all levels. ICGC’s goal of “putting equality on the map” is why I enjoy working for them because I also believe that everyone should be provided with the same opportunities to create a bright and successful future.
My experience working as an intern on the Infrastructure Team of Institute for Conscious Global Change was reaffirming. It fostered in me new ideas for how to address certain contemporary development issues. Further, it pushed me to think more about how technology (and other data/program resources) can be used as much more effective communication tools. The work environment, although remote, allowed me to feel more confident in what I know and have to offer. The team treated me as an equal with just as many assets to put forth while still leaving room for guidance when needed. Overall, working with ICGC was positive and I hope to see it as the model by which all development proposals and progress is tracked in the future.
The best asset of ICGC is that everybody that participate in the project is really committed with the work and the objectives of the NGO. For the time that I volunteered there I really felt rewarded by doing a work that could improve the world we live in, and would have definitely kept working there if my schedule allowed me.

The best asset of ICGC is that everybody that participate in the project is really committed with the work and the objectives of the NGO. In a world where so so little resources are used used in helping those that need the most, the Millenium Earth Project comes as a way to get the most out of those resources, as it not only cares for what are the needs, but also WHERE they are greater. This allows investments made in developing countries to surely have a positive impact. For the time that I volunteered there I really felt rewarded by doing a work that could improve the world we live in, and would have definitely kept working there if my schedule allowed me.
I am an intern/volunteer for the Institute for Conscious Global Change. I volunteer my skills as a GIS Technician. When I applied I spoke with Etta, the founder, and the GIS Manager. You can tell immediately how nice and dedicated everyone is to this important cause. I enjoy the work and working remotely has not been an issue as communication has been excellent. It has been great working on tasks and figuring out the best way to go about projects as this is still in the early stages of creation.
I worked for the GIS group and hoped to gain some experience about GIS; but it turned out I get nearly nothing.
All the work they have is the data input and data reduction, which has no deal with GIS itself.
I have been a volunteer for the Institute for Conscious Global Change and I feel like that was really a fantastic experience. All in all, the Haiti project brought me a wide view of developing countries and what kind of help they need indeed. While we are talking about help those countries, we need take deep look into the economic, environment, and infrastructure conditions. And honestly I would say what the Institute for Conscious Global Change is doing is really awesome and efficient for those countries.

The Millenium Earth Project has a significant impact on the global development, all the contribution of this project will set a new viewpoint of how to help least developed countries. This project use technology to solve some traditional problems, not only those people in need would thanks this project, but people all over the world would be proud of this project. The INSTITUTE FOR CONSCIOUS GLOBAL CHANGE is really doing a great job.
Etta Jackson is a visionary. She founded the ICGC because she understands the importance of consciousness in helping to bring humanity together and solve the problems of the least developed countries. Through her books, talks and use of technology such as GIS, she is providing us with a road map to assist countries such as Haiti and others change their society for the benefit of the vast majority of people. I joined the ICGC because of Ms. Jackson's leadership, by example, and her understanding of what really matters when it comes to the advancement of humanity. She has managed to put together a diverse and talented team of board members and advisers to assist her in this ambition endeavor to change the conversation that we are having about humanity's challenges going forward. We need more people like Etta, who are not just looking at money (as important as it is) as the solution to humanity's challenges, but to a deep, internal change in our collective consciousness.
Achieving the goal of providing a comprehensive response to end poverty and all of its effects with a special focus on the world’s Least Developed Countries (LDCs) seems like a Utopia Goal. The task is so daunting when we considered that the three prototype countries selected (Haiti, Afghanistan and Democratic Republic of the Congo) have been at some point of their history / or continue to be marred by war and it consequences. Can we really consider development without peace, one can argue? It just looks like a Sisyphus rolling rock task! Yet resolve and resilience of the human spirit, persistence and commitment of people around the world have demonstrated throughout human history that what appears impossible can be overcome when all available resources are mobilized. Several countries and communities in the world have achieved food security, health universal coverage or education for its entire people. Some others have provided at least Primary Health Care to it impoverished communities. There is no reason why the same cannot / will not happen in the LDCs. It takes a leap of faith, a strong conviction in the social justice and equality as well a strong partnership with people of good will around the world to achieve this ambitious goal. It also takes to seize this unique historical opportunity in using new information technology (internet, GIS) and be able to expose, visualize, inform and educate people on the current situation and invite and allow the world to participate to the transformation of these countries together in solidarity with it people to lead them a better life with peace, and well-being of the entire humanity. I would like to chase that dream and be part of that effort in doing my part.
I have been looking for a place to serve with some technical skills that could have a global application. This organization has provided that opportunity, but I am new to the organization and have much to learn prior to being a real contributor.

I had the great pleasure of working with the passionate and committed staff of ICGC for 3 months on the Haiti project. The work I completed for them was influential in my professional development and helped lead to my current full-time position. ICGC is an inspiring organization, whose mission is not only admirable and meaningful but is working toward change on a global scale. The leadership and staff at ICGC are tackling the biggest problems our international community faces, and does so through an inter-personal and technologically interconnected network of passionate individuals. This is a truly dedicated group of change-agents.
I interned with ICGC for about 5 months. They're working on having interns work remotely, which I did. ICGC caught my attention because they seem to do interesting international development work and present ways for interns to glean GIS experience and expertise. Unfortunately, most of the work they had me do was cleaning and entering data. There was only minimal GIS work, using free software like Quantum GIS. ICGC has plans to work with ESRI to get access to better GIS software, which may drastically improve internship opportunities in the future. With the territory of working remotely also come the issues of communication and sharing of files with colleagues, which was difficult, but I applaud ICGC for trying to find solutions to these problems. I'm grateful for the opportunity to work with ICGC and I don't want my low ratings to reflect badly upon them-- but I think it's important to be honest and identify places where improvement is needed.
I had the pleasure to do an internship with the Institute for Conscious Global Change for a semester last year. The people on the team were tremendously committed to the work of this organization. The mission of this organization was what initially attracted me to this organization and I believe with continuous dedication of the entire team, they will make the goals of visualizing problems in developing countries a reality. This will be an extremely powerful tool that could help decision makers.
As a board member, I am part of an extraordinary organization that aims to translate the goal of the organization into results. The Institute for Conscious Global Change (ICGC) is dedicated to providing a better and successful way of addressing the challenges of the Least Developed Countries through the use of its Millennium Earth Project and employment of GIS program. With my experience at the organization I have been privy to the hardwork, commitment and transparency of the ICGC, and I firmly believe that the work being done is needed to enable sustainable development in the developing world.
Working as a volunteer for Institute For Conscious Global Change (ICGC) is not my first experience. In the past I have worked as a volunteer for other non-profit organizations, but I have to say that ICGC is at the top when it comes to being quality conscious. The ICGC leadership really knows what they are doing and how they are going to achieve the intended goal. I am happy to be a part of the team that is, I am sure, going to make a difference for the coming generations. The Millennium Earth Project is a good example of making use of technology to make an impact and provide a platform for development.
Every volunteer that contribute their time to a better future of sustainable development with harmonize as the basis is deem high respect. The respect is more meaningful in term of providing more channel and space for this activities. On the meantime, feedback is foremost welcome in completing this meaningful vision.
I believe the work that the Institute For Conscious Global Change does is very important! The Millennium Earth Project is the only nonprofit organization, to my knowledge, that utilizes GIS technology to visually display all of the country specific issues for the least developed countries. Another great aspect that really attracted me to the work of this organization, is the Millennium Earth Project's all-encompassing approach towards helping ALL of the Least Developed Countries (LDCS), rather than focusing on a particular geographic region as most other NGO often do. I strongly believe that the Millennium Earth Project's work will allow for the Millennium Development Goals to be achieved by 2015.
Millennium Earth Project was a great way for me to explore my interest in NGO's and research. the subjects are very weighted, and it is very easy to become passionate about it.
There is a saying, "Without a vision, the people perish". ICGC gives people in the least developed countries a visual goal for the furure of their community. This will give them hope and allow them to take concrete steps towards that goal with confidence and allow others from around the world participate from whereever they are. I applaud the work of the orgnization and wish then success.
The Millennium Earth Project is an innovative way to see the solutions to he MDGs. Using GIS technology the virtual map will allow governemnts, international organizations, citizens, non-profits, NGOs, virtually anyone and everyone to see the potential of a country and what it will take to move the coutnry into developed status. It will allow users to see where investments should be made and wehre the oppertunity for the most growth lies.
The Institute for Conscious Global Change plays a critical role in the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals set forth by the United Nations. By combining in depth research with modern GIS mapping techniques they provide a complete picture of each country's development progress and the unique challenges they face. I had the opportunity to work with this organization over the summer and along with my fellow researchers, provided information that will be used by others both within the organization and those who create policy for the United Nations.
We know the Institute for Conscious Global Change's Millennium Earth Project will revolutionize how learning institutions keep abreast of changes in the poorest nations in the world but it will also provide vital information to non profits throughout the world.
I am so honored to take part in the project and make a little contribution to it. It is really a meaningful project. There are a lot of people all over the world that are struggling for living and scrape along. We should really do something to end it, to help the people live the life as we do. Also, we should develop our world in a more sustainable and green way without compromising our future generation to live a good life as we do. That what we should think about, live and share!
In the historic year of 2000, 189 nations pledged in the form of eight ‘Millennium Development Goals (MDGs)’ to help people to overcome extreme poverty and multiple deprivations. MDGs are set to be achieved by 2015 and are most strategically designed, broadly supported, comprehensive and specific development goals the world has ever agreed upon. The Millennium Earth Project started by The Institute for Conscious Global Change is an innovative approach to tackle eight MDGs with the use of advanced technology i.e. GIS. Bringing all the required information under one umbrella was really a tough task which is beautifully handled by ICGC.
The Millennium Earth Project is an innovative approach to tackling the struggles of the less fortunate around the world; using 21 century technology to bring awareness and hope to communities in need. I strongly believe in the work that ICGC is doing. The Millennium Earth Project's Development plan, which is being created for each Least Developed Country, is the first, crucial, step towards bringing 900 million people out of poverty.
I've met and worked with members of the ICGC team. Those experiences were full of the impact of energized people thinking, planning and giving from the heart. I wish the team well on its Mission.
I believe that the work the ICGC is accomplishing through its virtual Millenium Earth project has the potential to become a real point of convergence between all poverty-alleviation stakeholders - from governments, to NGOs, local communities, experts, international organizations - towards the achievement of the Millenium Development Goals. Thanks to the dedication, perseverance, creativity and implication of both staff and volunteers, I have no doubt that the ICGC will accomplish life-changing initiatives in the most vulnerable countries to lift them out of poverty, one step at a time. I have had the honor to join this organization as an intern and now can't think why I would stop helping them achieving this beautiful, inspiring and necessary mission of worlwide cooperation for a "conscious global change".
