I've wanted to write a review for a while, but couldn't find the IPWA (as it was previously registered under its old name, the Indian Peaks Working Group) - thanks for changing the name! The IPWA is a great organization to volunteer for. They are very good at keeping the focus of their activities on their mission: to preserve and protect the wilderness. I feel like us volunteers are given good training and are able to do a lot of good while patrolling in the Indian Peaks and James Peak Wilderness Areas. This organization focuses on educating the general public and being an available resource to answer their questions. By providing a HOW and a WHY behind the wilderness regulations, we provide an impact that last beyond a single visit to the wilderness areas.

I have spent the past few years volunteering with IPWA. They are very committed to helping preserve the wilderness by establishing a presence on trails, doing trail projects, and educating the public on wilderness ethics and behavior.

They contribute so much to protecting the wilderness in our backyard.
