Mission: In dulci jubilo is a non-profit foundation established in 1978 to enhance the quality of life in berkeley, california, by encouraging, inspiring, instructing and helping young people enrolled in berkeley's pre-school, primary and secondary schools to develop, during their formative years, values beneficial to the community. Idj aims to encourage discussion, development and adoption of values in the areas of ecology, ethics, aesthetics, health and general education.
Programs: In dulci jubilo was created with the intent to encourage discussion, development and adoption of values in the areas of ecology, ethics, aesthetics, health and general education with the aim of enhancing each child's feeling of self worth as well as furthering an appreciation & recognition of worth in others, and in the environment in which we live. Our organization's focus is to develop in children feelings of worth and self-esteem, to stimulate innate curiosity, and to encourage discernment and the questioning of values by the young. In dulci jubilo provides grants and sponsors the annual art, poetry and essay contest and the total amounted funded during the year ended december 31, 2014 amounted to $45,132.

Idj reviews qualified grants and makes its decisions during the first half of each calendar year.
