Causes: Military & Veterans Organizations, Veterans
Mission: As the Rapid Response organization, always with integrity, we collaborate with people like you to impact and serve those who serve(d) us.
Results: As we enter our 5th year of service to those who serve(d) it is an honor and pleasure to serve them. Every day we are amazed at the need in the military community. Donors throughout the country mail, ship, and/or deliver goods to Midwest Veterans Closet. It might be a package of socks, a check to pay our rent, a few food items or even a truckload of food - almost everyone can do something for our military through Midwest Veterans Closet where Veterans shop FREE.
Target demographics: Midwest Veterans Closet is a Rapid Response resource organization providing, for free, basic needs to those who serve(d) us.
Direct beneficiaries per year: We serve about 500 military a month.
Geographic areas served: We are located near Naval Station Great Lakes and Capt. James A. Lovell Federal health Care Center
Programs: We serve the active military, Veterans, and families with food in our Food and Nutrition Resource Center, weather appropriate clothing, shoes/boots, housewares, bedding, linens (towels, sheets, rugs, etc) toiletries, professional wear in our Career Closet, and occasionally, automobiles all FREE of charge.
