Target demographics: Our mission: to provide a multifaceted program connecting families and individuals with Special Needs with valuable resources and services within our community, while advocating social awareness and encouraging volunteer involvement. There are over 200 children with Special Needs in our area. Most services and therapies are located in St. Louis about 40-50 min away from our area. Geographic areas served: IKANDU is a 501(c)3 Non Profit Charitable Organization Empowering individuals with Special Needs with skills and resources which support and enable education and independence for a brighter future.
Programs: Summer 2015 we celebrated our first ABA Therapy Summer Social Skills Workshop. Ten children ages 4-10 enjoyed one on one ABA therapy in a curriculum based social setting, 3 hours a day, twice a week, during the month of June. IKANDU was able too offer a very low price and scholarships to 5 of the 10 children. We hope to raise enough funds to offer the summer workshop every year.
