Causes: Human Services, Neighborhood Centers
Mission: The mission of the howard area community center is to assist low-income individuals and families in and near rogers park to stabilize their lives and develop the skills necessary to become productive community members.
Programs: Infants and toddlers-assisting teenage parents and their children, ages 0-3. Helping strenghten parenting skills through home visits, education sessions and support groups
educational services-providing basic skills classes to adults and teens in preparing for acquiring their high-school diploma. Courses in english as a second language are also a part of this program
youth services-includes after-school academic enrichment, workshops on life and social skills, employment-related services, recreational activities, and a full-day summer camp.
