Causes: Alumni Associations, Education
Mission: The purposes of the houston law review alumni association, inc. Are strictly educational. The organization, in carrying out its purposes, shall support the houston law review, inc. Financially and shall seek to stimulate and promote the interest in the organization and its work among the student body at the university of houston law school and the legal profession. By such activities, the organization hopes to improve the attitude toward, and interest in, legal writing and scholarship and the utilization of legal research techniques.
Programs: The annual banquet recognizes the scholarship of the authors and editors of the houston law review. Including texas attorneys, professors and judges as guests, focuses attention on the articles and the value of the houston law review. The speaker is a person of note in the legal community whose comments contribute to the education of all attendees.
the tailgate party and happy hour brought together alumni and members of the law review in a different environment to increase outreach to alumni, to express appreciation for donations of time and funds and to provide an additional source of connection for exchange of ideas.
