Hsc's 36-bed laurie coleman puglisi respiratory care unit and the 38-bed respiratory step-down unit provide care for patients with multi-system problems and ventilator assistance. The close observation unit is an 11 bed unit providing technologically advances clinical management of adult patients who require mechanical ventilation, and who have potential to be removed from the ventilator. inpatient care: pediatric services is a 29-bed pediatric unit that provides care to children (from newborn to 18 years of age), in need of rehabilitation following an accident, surgery, serious illness or premature birth, many of whom are technology dependent. Hsc offers programs and services tailored to each child's individual needs to help regain lost skills or develop brand new skills.
