Mission: Hope clubhouse is a community resource that fills a significant gap in the opportunities previously available for people living with mental illness in southwest florida. Our clubhouse offers opportunities for meaningful work, education, friendships, and access to housing in a supportive, caring, dignified and respectful community setting. Members of our clubhouse develop hope for recovery and achievement of their full human potential.
Programs: Career development (education) - offer educational opportunities for people with mental illness to start or complete programs at academic institutions or adult education programs; utilize talents & skills of members & staff to provide ged classes to members; utilize skills of members to teach members computer skills, writing skills and grant skills.
career development (employment) - career development offers entry or re- entry into workforce of part-time jobs with local employers; offer on-site training & support from staff to learn job skills such as culinary skills, janitorial skills, clerical skills and media skills as well as landscaping skills; support & resources to assist members in securing & maintaining permanent employment. For people ready for permanent employment, staff assess their skills and place them in jobs with our employer partners.
business & culinary unit - includes training and work for people with mental illness in newsletter production, accounting, statistics, clubhouse orientation, tours & housing program coordination, meal planning, preparation & service, cashiering, budgeting, running a snack bar, shopping and janitorial services.
