Mission: To provide youth sports and operate events for local community betterment.
Programs: Oregon national guard (ong) hoopla is not only oregon's largest and premier 3-on-3 basketball event, but also a prestigious family-friendly sporting event that is committed to bettering the community. The hoopla event also includes a special 2-on-2 tournament, and slam dunk contest. The 18th edition of ong hoopla was held in 2016 and included approximately 900 teams, 3,600 participants, 900 volunteers and 40,000+ of spectators. Hoop camp: basketball camp for boys and girls ages 7-14 led by george fox university coach mike meek and hoopla counselors. Great day of learning fundamentals and preparing for ong hoopla.
the bite and brew of salem event is a four-day festival featuring 15 bands on two outdoor stages. It offers several local eateries, 70+ beers on tap, willamette valley wines and endless entertainment for kids of all ages. This was the fifth year of the hoopla association operating the event. The salem winter brewfest is a three-day festival featuring 100+ beers on tap, food vendors, and live music. This was the second year of the hoopla association putting on this event.
