Mission: The hispanic metropolitan chamber is dedicated to working with all members of the community to increase the economic and educational opportunities of latinos in oregon and sw washington.
Programs: Since 1996, the hispanic chamber has awarded $2,060,750 in individually and corporate sponsored scholarships to 794 latino students throughout oregon and sw washington. The purpose of the scholarships is to encourage and inspire latino students to start or continue their higher education. A total of 56 scholarships were awarded in 2016.
business education and training provides outreach, education, and one-on-one assistance to new and existing businesses in numerous areas including development of accounting systems, loan/bond proposals, financing, insurance, marketing, technology, operations, and management.
latino leadership class is a 12 month program that enhances the leadership and management skills of latino leaders to position them to continue their advancement in their employment while also promoting community leadership through volunteerism on public boards and commissions.
