I was invited to help out preparing for the yearly Gala. Since I am a professional photographer I brought my camera to document the volunteers making preparations in many creative ways. They were very appreciative, provided lunch and everyone was very friendly. I would volunteer for them again.
Thank you so much HCCArts for all you have done for our community!!!! Especially the public art, performing arts, fine arts, professional artists, and most of all connecting the arts and artists in this region of Texas with the public and each other!!!! Your appointment as the 9th Affiliate of the "Business Committee for the Arts" by the Americans for the Arts (for 19 counties in the Hill Country including Bexar and Travis), and being recognized and supported by National Endowment for the Arts, shows how much importance and influence you have on Central Texas. Wow!!! YOU have so enriched the community and improved the quality of life for us all!!! Thank you. Special thanks for the work of the HCCArts President, Doris Perez!!! A great hurray and thank you Doris!!!! None of this would have been possible without you!!!
Keep up the great work HCCArts!!!
An amazing 3 year campaign to support public art in Boerne, TX has been realized with the continued vocal and appearance related events that Hill Country council for the Arts has participated in. The Wild Bill Hickok bronze sculpture will have its final home there.
I am proud to be part of such events in the Arts that will affect everyone in the community.

As part of the Boerne art community, we had multiple outlets for art, but communication between them was nonexistent before the HCCA was established. The Hill Country Council for the Arts has worked hard to bring all the arts in Boerne together under one umbrella so we can all gain more exposure and support. They have been exceptional in keeping the community informed of local art events and opportunities.
HCCArts and its Board Members came to my rescue shortly after I moved to Boerne, having evacuated New Orleans, my hometown, in the wake of HUrricane Katrina. I was at that time an employee of the National World War II Museum, and had for many years prior to that employed by the New Orleans Museum of Art, The Historic New Orleans Collection and a volunteer of the Louisiana Philharmonic. The HCCArts in offering me a position on the Board, gave me the opportunity to reconnect with the arts in my newly adopted home. I was very entrenched with the arts community in New Orleans, and having the opportunity to once again spend my energy bringing first-class arts opportunities to Hill Country. I have also met and made friends with wonderful, like-minded residents here in this community. Partnerships with both the City of Boerne, Kendall County Economic Development Corporation, Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce and the city offices governing the arts in San Antonio and Austin have broadened my network and allowed me to again pursue my passion for art in my new hometown. I thank the heavens for HCCArts every day...
My husband and I moved to Boerne, Texas in 2004. One of the top reasons we chose to live in this community was how active the arts were in Boerne and the Texas Hill Country. I found out about the Hill Country Council for the Arts (formerly Cibolo Arts Council) and knew I wanted to be a part of what this invaluable organization was doing to promote and support the arts, arts organizations, and artists. With their being named the exclusive Business Committee for the Arts representative for the entire Texas Hill Country, the possibilities are limitless as they gain more patrons and support from the business sectors.Today, HCCArts' ongoing success at so many levels, from public art, performing arts, art education efforts, public & private entities collaborations, has made all the difference on behalf of the arts and our community. Thank you HCCArts!
