Causes: Arts & Culture, Child Day Care, Children & Youth, Economic Development, Food, Food, Agriculture & Nutrition, Performing Arts
Mission: To serve all citizens of Highland County by being a catalyst for cultural and economic development, and to preserve an historic landmark as a symbol of unity and pride for the county.
Programs: Community and economic development programs: providing space for local artistic and cultural activities, workshops, meetings, and private events. Also provided leadership and administrative support for economic development and revitalization in the area. Included the final phase for the renovation of the historic building originally the highland elementary school
business incubation programs: accelerates success of small business and non-profits through support and services including a business resources center, affordable space for tenants and events and a microfinance program. There were 12 tenants in 2014 and approximately 600 hours of business counseling services at the center.
local foods and agriculture: including the allegheny mountain school with 15 fellows studying sustainable food and community development in highland' the highland farmer's market with 46 vendors, a community kitchen used by several local businesses and the meals-on-wheels program.
