Mission: Higher heights for america is building a national infrastructure to harness black women's political power and leadership potential. Headquartered in ny, higher heights is a national 501 c(4) organization investing in a long term strategy to analyze, expand, and support a black woman's leadership pipeline at all levels and strengthen her civic participation beyond election day.
Programs: Convenings and events: host sister to sister salon conversations and events that gather black women in communities to discuss issues concerning black women and their families. Participants explore solutions from expanding their civic engagement beyond the voting booth, to increasing the number of black women pursuing elected leadership.
strategic communications and digital campaigns: develop on and offline communications to help elevate black women's voices and help shape the national narrative about black women in american politics. Accomplish this through the development of website content, production of sunday brunch series, facebook live and twitter chat events and seeking to expand earned media opportunities.
membership: developing a network of black women and allies and providing members with training and tools to harness their political power. Create on and offline activities and networking opportunities to help black women lead from the voting booth to elected office.
