Wonder what is unique about WEDO? It is committed to women's human rights and the integrity of the environment, has one of the largest outreach networks among governments and grass-roots groups in the world, and fights like mad for environmental justice. Supporting WEDO makes a contribution to the UN process and gets action going on the ground. From the inside --as a board member--I can vouch for the efficient use of funds, integrity of the staff, and dedication of all volunteers. As an outsider looking in, I see an organization that is spectacularly well-respected with a stellar reputation.

Review from Guidestar
WEDO plays a unique role in influencing global, regional and national policies and processes. In addition, WEDO is an implementing partner of several UN agencies and governments.
Walking the talk about (young) women leadership, the staff is a dynamic team of extremely skilled women working with passion, making it energizing to work with them.
WEDO is a unique organization that works on sustainable development, gender equality and climate change. Our organization has advanced significant processes before the UN and national and local governments in different world regions. We must keep up our good work together with other partners from different social sectors. We welcome your contributions and participation at WEDO.
The organization made a restart with a fresh approach and new directions under very difficult circumstances. It is amazing what it has been able to achieve with just a small staff and a dedicated diversified Board in a period of financial distress for all Non-Profits. Under management of a new Director since 2010, it is steadily progressing and making significant contributions in the area of women's rights, empowerment and leadership related to climate change, environment and development.
