After reviewing the financial situation of this company following the loss of revenue in 2012 as described below by BeHonest, I believe the Columbia Housing Corp is a competent non-profit property management company.

The Columbia Housing Corporation owns and manages properties that provide elderly, disabled and low income housing with rent assistance from HUD. Staff includes an Executive Director with over 20 years experience with non-profit and for-profit entities, certified property managers with over 15 years experience managing HUD and residential units, maintenance staff producing high quality repairs for 10+ years and degreed accounting staff with 20+ years in the property management field.

It has been well over two years since a small group of disgruntled employees attempted to overthrow the executives of this organization who were in the middle of redeveloping the properties and reorganizing the staff. They did this by going to the police and the HUD OIG with fabrications. NO funds were ever misappropriated and NO charges have ever been brought against any current or former executives. The investigation cost the company the management of their largest property which the organization built, owned and managed for more than 45 years. Because of this loss in revenue, numerous employees had to be laid off after being given the opportunity to be hired by the new management company who then made the decision not to retain them. The organization also had a forensic audit performed and several others have been performed since and there have been no findings of mismanagement or misappropriations of funds. These reports are available for public review. It has only been through the efforts of the hard working loyal remaining staff and the dedicated board that this organization has even been able to even survive such a fiasco.

This organization has received media coverage about misappropriation of funds and fired the "whistle blowers" who, out of concern for government and donors' investments, brought this to public attention.
