Causes: Human Services, Seniors, Supportive Housing for Older Adults
Mission: Influenced by christ, lyngblomsten provides a ministry of compassionate care and innovative services to older adults in order to preserve and enhance their quality of life.
Programs: In 2017, the heritage apartments served 84 older adults. With noon meals, educational and social events (including the arts), worship services and bible studies, shuttle bus, exercise groups, and health checks, seniors can enjoy their independence and peace of mind. A service coordinator assists tenants with finding appropriate services/resources, completing paperwork, etc. -bringing peace of mind to the tenants and their families. Assisted living services are available 24/7 through lyngblomsten home health services. Heritage apartments, inc. Is affiliated with lyngblomsten and the evangelical lutheran church in america. The lyngblomsten apartments, the heritage, and community services share a part-time transportation coordinator to improve continuity of transportation services for tenants and community participants. The bus service relies on trained volunteers to do most of the driving.
