Programs: To increase awareness of hereditary angioedema and provide patients and physicians with information on best practices for hae diagnosis and treatment through educational programs, an hae website and printed materials. The haea is a stanuch advocate for (1) patient access and sufficient insurance reimbursement for currently available therapies, and (2) research directed towards helping patients lead a normal life and, ultimately, finding a cure. The haea also conducts national and regional patient meetings and offers a variety of services to individuals and families that include physician and clinical trial referrals and assistance in dealing with disease-related emergencies.
