This organization started in 1987 as a chapter of the Hemlock Society USA. When Hemlock USA merged another organization the Hemlock Society of San Diego became an autonomous educational organization. There are free, public meeting every month including a Right to Die Film Festival every other month showing films on this subject. In the alternate months speakers discuss various aspects of aging and dying in San Diego, the U.S. and world-wide. The website (www.hemlocksocietysandiego.org) carries current articles and events. Members receive a bi-monthly Newsletter. This is an excellent and informative organization.
