Mission: HELP LINE, founded in 1969 by Dr. and Mrs. Norman Vincent Peale, is a telephone hotline that provides an immediate response to people in the New York Metropolitan area who are troubled or in crisis. Its purpose is to help callers with any problem from suicide and domestic violence to loneliness and depression.
