Programs: Hearts and hands international's work with children at risk continues with providing homes for children who have no parents. Providing help and assistance where we can in the areas of food, shelter, clothing, hebei, china, the privately run orphanage near beijing, has partnered with hearts and hands and we have been able to take teams in to help with the children in two areas. The team of medical professionals was able to build individual profiles on each child and a plan of action for their health and well being. Our team has continued to update new methods of treatment with the local team at the orphanage. The second phase was bringing a team of teachers in to develop individualized education plans for them to increase their chances of attending a school in the area. They have been able to create ieps for the children, addressing the needs and helping with creative idea sharing between the educators in the us and the educators on the ground at the home. An update on the conjoined twins, they have been adopted to a family in the us. There continues to be medical needs include surgeries, physical and occupational therapy are still greatly needed and teams are currently forming to go back. We will have teams back in the field there to continue the education programs. We are developing partnerships with us and china universities and medical professionals to create cooperation and exchange program for learning from each other. Kisumu, kenya the completion of the medical clinic it has opened doors for this orphanage to now be the light of the community. Our teams love going to the compound here because the nearly 200 academy students at the school. Additionally, every school day we are able to feed over 700 local area students. Providing for most of them the only meal that they receive for the day. The impact brought to this area is amazing to see over the years of our partnership with the orphanages and schools. Coimbatore, india the agape home hhii as funding is available we are developing a school at the compound for the "untouchable" people group. We hope to be able to add a school in the coming years. In addition to the schooling the children receive each day we have begun teaching them some trades. The girls are learning how to sew. And will be able to work in the local area in the garment industry. Some of the young men are learning the principles and basic electrical wiring trade. This gives them a valuable skill set that is marketable when they graduate. Coimbatore is known worldwide for their work with electric motors. The trade school training has paid off well as some of the boys are now being accepted into trade schools at the local level and getting starting level jobs at some of the factories.
