Mission: The hawaii skatepark association is a nonprofit corporation organized and operated exclusively for charitable purposes ,specifically to advocate for the development of free world class public skateparks;develop and implement maintenance strategies for skateparks;provide education and outreach pertaining to the benefits of skateparks and a healthy active lifestyle for at risk youth. We further our purposes under this program by conducting the following activities: to advocate for world class free public concrete skateparks. Working closely with communities, and skateboarders to create skatepark sand maintain them. Education and community outreach concerning the need for free public skateparks and the benefits of skateboarding and a healthy active lifestyle. To educate and help skatepark users foster a sense of pride and ownership in their skateparks. Planning and development of effective longterm maintenance strategies to prevent wear and tear and graffiti. Facilitate future skateparks.
