Causes: Human Service Organizations, Human Services
Mission: To preserve, enhance and promote the good and welfare of workers in the state of hawaii, and to financially relieve those workers who become injured or ill or suffer financial hardship due to job loss, reduction of hours and/or salary, to provide education for workers to be job ready, give opportunity to participate in community service projects.
Programs: Labor of love: annually, a hawaii department of education school that is in need of support and services such as campus improvements, donations of supplies and equipment, etc. Are coordinated. During this fiscal year, assistance was provided to wailuku elementary school.
food pantry: food boxes to provide food assistance to people who are confronted with having to decide between paying their rent, mortgage, food and utility bills. The food pantry provided assistance to 157 people of which 63 were children.
rental and utility assistance: direct services to those who are confronted with having to decide between paying their rent, mortgage, food, utility, debt and medical bills. This financial assistance is for individual who are in jeopardy of becoming homeless or are currently homeless.
