Mission: Because we believe life is sacred, hattie larlham enhances the quality of life for people with disabilities and their families through our commitment to comfort, joy and achievement.
Programs: Provide primary healthcare that promotes the health and well-being for 169 children, teens, and adults with complex medical conditions and severe intellectual disabilities. Through high quality medical and nursing care, supported by respiratory therapists, allied therapies and nutritional services, the individuals experience a high quality of life, despite their fragile conditions. Habilitation programs delivered by highly trained direct care staff assist the individuals to attain their highest level of functioning in all aspects of self-care and independence. Recreation assistants, and the many volunteers who generously give up their time to befriend our residents, support participation in the community outings and events. In addition, the play center at hattie larlham is a play resource for families of people who receive services from hattie larlham as well as members of the community. The facility was designed to house programs for children with autism spectrum disorders. Fund, promote, and carry on scientific research in the public interest related to individuals who are disabled and to participate in such activities designed to promote the general health of the community. Research includes areas of psychosocial, clinical care, allied therapy,and assistive technology.
