Mission: Home construction for the needy. Completed 15 homes. Nurturing services for these families and 234 families receiving homes in prior years.
Programs: Beaches habitat for humanity built eight new homes, acquired one home and rehabilitated five existing habitat homes for new qualified low and moderate-income families. Through two programs - a brush with kindness and critical home repair, we revitalized five homes in our focus service area within the eastern corridor of duval county, florida. At the end of the fiscal year, there were seven other homes under construction. Beaches habitat also delivered after-school tutoring, mentoring and a number of other educational programs and services for some 200 children and partner families who had been approved for homeownership. Many of these programs were delivered in partnership with the city of atlantic beach and a variety of other nonprofit service providers.
