Mission: Seeking to put god's love into action, habitat for humanity of york county brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.
Programs: New construction/rehab for homeownershipin fiscal year 2016-2017, 4 new homes were completed resulting in decent, affordable home ownership for (5 adults and 7 children). Each home was constructed using energy efficient practices. Construction in process on 2 additional new construction home began at end of fiscal year in partnership with 2 families. (2 adults and 4 children). New construction occurred in triangle neighborhood in rock hill and clover. In fiscal year 2016-2017, in clover, fort mill and rock hill completed a total of 35 home repair projects and 1 community project serving elderly or disabled community members. The affiliate serviced a total of 50 no interest, no profit homeowner mortgages. The affiliate also conducted homeowner and financial literacy education classes with 6 families representing (6 adults and 7 children).
