PSDP is a great nonprofit. With a listserv that cares about you as an individual to the community family to fun activities throughout the years to standing up and advocating for our disabled population, this organization is essential. I’ve been a CB part of since the beginning and I know I would not be as functioning as I am without the assist from this group of people who get it and understand where we are coming from. I highly recommend this non profit.

I've been here a number of years. Keystone has improved the quality of life for individuals and families by educating, treating, and providing support for those impacted by substance abuse. So many lives have been impacted by the treatment and the caring hearts of those that work here at Keystone.

Paramedics for Children has a freestanding clinic that is the primary healthcare provider for the Mayan Chort'i people in the area. They are a group that is often excluded from care services and the majority don't have the resources to travel far from their villages for complex issues. <br><br>Roger, Dani, Suyapa and everyone else at PFC care so deeply for the community they serve. They provide critical healthcare infrastructure to the area and treat every patient like family. I have traveled there and worked with them a number of times and now am a proud member of their advisory board. As a career global health professional, I have come across countless international NGOs who drop in temporarily and leave after a few months. PFC is there for the long haul and they will do anything they can for their neighboring Chorti communities. <br><br>Please consider volunteering with PFC, either remotely or in person! They have just finished a large addition to house volunteers, people wanting to stay at their amazing hacienda B&B, and medical brigades. All are welcome to apply on the website!

Safe Passage is an incredible organization doing very important work in our community. I am proud to be a board member!

Rock Hill Theatre is absolutely phenomenal. The staff there is amazing. They make you feel like family. I love them!!

DO NOT SUPPORT THIS HEALTH CENTER!!!! MY HUSBAND WAS A PATIENT FOR YEARS THERE. HE WAS SEEN AT LEAST TWICE A YEAR FOR CHECKUPS. HIS LAST VISIT HE PRESENTED WHAT THE DOCTOR SAID COULD BE EARLY CONGESTIVE HEART FAILURE. KNOWING HIS FAMILY HISTORY INCLUDED HEART FAILURE AND DISEASE. AS SOON AS THE DOCTOR MENTIONED THAT AS A POSSIBLE CAUSE OF HIS XHEST PAIN,SHORTNESS OF BREATHE AND HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE, IIMMEDIATLY ASKED IF I SHOULD TAKE HIM TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM, THE DOCTOR NOT A NURSE SAID SPECIFICALLY THAT IT WASN'T THAT SEVERE, SO NO HOSPITAL VISIT WAS NEEDED. THEY DID BLOOD WORK BEFORE WE LEFT AND THEY HAD ME CALL HIS CARDIOLOGIST TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR THE NEXT DAY SO I HAD MADE HIM ONE FOR EARLY THE NEXT MORNING. NOT EVEN 2 HOURS LATER HE WAS BRAIN DEAD FROM MASSIVE HEART ATTACKS AND PASSED AWAY 4 DAYS LATER. THEY HAD THE AUDACITY TO CALL ME TO CHECK ON HIM TWO DAYS LATER AND I INFORMED THEM OF HIS SITUATION AND THAT HE WASN'T GOING TO MAKE IT. THE ONLY RESPONSE I GOT FROM THE NURSE WAS WE'RE SORRY. NO APOLOGY FOR THEIR MASSIVE ERROR ON THEIR CONCLUSION OF WHAT WAS GOING ON WITH HIM THAT DAY AT THE OFFICE OR NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY FOR KILLING HIM OR ADMITTION TO THEIR RECKLESSNESS WITH MY HUSBANDS(MY KING FOR 20 YEARS) ILLNESS. MY HUSBAND SPECIFICALLY TOLD ME MULTIPLE TIMES THAT HE NEVER WANTED TO BE KEPT ALIVE BY A MACHINE SO I HONORED HIS WISH AND WE HAD HIM TAKEN OFF 5 DAYS AFTER HE WAS ADMITTED INTO PIEDMONT MEDICAL CENTER. SO IF YOU LOVE AND CHERISH YOUR FAMILIES DO NOT GO HERE!!??????????????????‍♀️??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????#BANDAFFINITYHEALTHCENTER

I want to thank the ALEXA R. GOOD ALS Foundation for their immediate response to a request made through a Speech therapist, AMY, at the ALS Clinic in Charlotte, NC. I had been undiagnosed, misdiagnosed, and finally after 4 years I was accurately diagnosed with PBP-ALS onset, which has caused me loss in my ability to speak clearly, my tongue, and my ability to swallow easily. I hesitated about going out in Public and could not express myself. I had to give up tutoring. Within a month of the request for an iPad with a text to speech to help me function, this foundation responded. I now go out in public, use the iPad to communicate, do my banking, shopping, and now I can continue to tutor three students via the iPad. They love the technology! My quality of life has improved because ALEXA R. GOOD ALS Foundation stepped in and met my need. Thank you, Amy, for making the request, and thank you, ALEXA R. GOOD Foundation, for cutting through the red tape so quickly! You are a Blessing from God!

This is a small school that serves the most vulnerable of children who have been abused or neglected and removed from their homes. There are three multidimensional classrooms that work amazingly well. The children I have observed have grown and developed and increased their level of education in large stretches. They are in a safe place, physically attached to the emergency safe harbor in which they live and they learn to trust and develop their learning ability. It is truly a place of miracles with teachers, a principal and staff that are passionate about serving.
