The role of our communications work is to promote the community's efforts and to ensure that there is continuous communication and promotion of the efforts on the ground.
network improvementthe primary role of this body of work is to facilitate and provide continuous improvement processes for all of our partners and to be a part of improving their practices collectively. The key idea is that organizations are much more effective when they work collectively toward a shared outcome, using shared measures.
community vibrancyaccomplishments: conducted over two hundred (200) in person, resident surveys in the kendall-whittier neighborhood. In addition, facilitated, coordinated, and implemented thirty-nine (39) meetings, initiatives, and projects in north and south kendall-whittier. Ten (10) resident leaders were trained and facilitated to lead the network night initiative from january 2017 to july 2017, with an average of thirty (30) to fifty (50) participants each month. Further, four resident led activities such as homework help, el mercado, and park programing were introduced, and a local park was revitalized by residents twice. Residents, partners, and stakeholders collaboratively worked together to establish improvements and social connections in kendall-whittier.
