Mission: To provide an educational medium empowering children in academics, athletic and life skills
Programs: Junior team tennis (jtt)-this is a low cost tennis program open to all juniors 18 and below that is run year round by gstef. It promotes sportsmanship with an opportunity for teams to progress on a state, sectional, and national level. The jtt program is organized by usta and we had 248 participants. Costs for this program include registration fees to usta for all participants, indoor court fee rentals, coaching staff, balls.
special olympics of maryland tennis program: gstef trains special olympic athletes in the baltimore, and baltimore county area free of charge year round in tennis. These athletes range in age from juniors through adults. In the fall some of the athletes compete in the special olympic games in emmitsburg, maryland. Through the past year we provided tennis instruction to 48 special olympians. Costs for this program included professional instructors, indoor court fees, equipment, balls, tee shirts, etc.
adaptive tennis programming: in 2014 gstef started training on a regular basis special needs schools in our area free of charge. Schools that we work with include, harbour and owings mills public high school. Costs for those programs included professional instructors, indoor court fees, equipment, balls, tee shirts, etc there were 78 total participants
