Mission: The greater washington partnership is a civic alliance of ceo's in the region, drawing from the leading employers and entrepreneurs committed to making the capital region - from baltimore to richmond - one of the world's best places to live, work and build a business.
Programs: In 2017 the partnership built out its team and defined its approach. It also worked to establish credibility with stakeholders through extensive engagement efforts and developed its voice across the capital region through communications efforts including a new website and digital content. Additionally the partnership launched its first two initiatives - regional mobility, and skills and talent. Work on the regional mobility initiative included announcing the development of the first-ever regional mobility blueprint with the advance release of the preface to a blueprint for regional mobility report. The partnership also founded and help lead a coalition of business and advocacy organizations to fully fund wmata, launching the metronow campaign focused on advocating for reforms on governance and funding that create a path to a sustainable and reliable transit system. The skills and talent initiative released an initial report on digital tech talent, which outlined the partnership's intention to focus the near-term skills and talent agenda on strengthening the pipeline for digital tech in the region.
